Handmade, hand-sourced

The maker's name
goes on the box,
not just the bill.

Karigaar brings you home décor, crockery, paintings and textiles bought directly from the karigars who made them — no factory middle step, no anonymous "artisan collection." Just their name, their city, their craft.

Handmade terracotta, ceramic and brass décor styled on a stone console — a lantern, vases, a framed tree-of-life textile and a wooden bowl

How Karigaar works

From their workshop to your shelf, in three steps

01

We visit the workshop

Our sourcing team travels to the karigar's town, sees the craft made in person, and agrees a fair, published price — no middlemen renegotiating it down later.

02

Every piece is checked

Because handmade means no two pieces are identical, each item is inspected individually before listing, and small natural variation is described honestly, not hidden.

03

It ships with its story

Your order arrives with a provenance card naming the karigar, their craft, and their town — so the piece keeps its story once it's on your shelf.

From the shelf, not the script

What people say after unboxing

"The provenance card made this feel less like a purchase and more like I'd actually been to Jaipur and bought it myself. The blue pottery set is stunning in person."

— Ananya R., Bengaluru

"Ordered the Warli canvas for a housewarming gift. It arrived carefully packed and the story card was a genuinely lovely touch — the couple kept it displayed next to the painting."

— Rohan D., Pune

"I've bought 'handmade' things online before that felt mass-produced. This Dokra horse has real weight and texture to it — you can tell it was actually cast by hand."

— Meher S., Delhi
